DIGITALISATION OF EFFICIENT FERTIGATION MANAGEMENT FOR A SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE

LIFE TRIPLET aims to increase the sustainability and competitiveness of a new irrigated agriculture by digitizin crops monitoring integrating the application of resources, as water and nutrients, and the management of crop protection.

The added value of this project lies in its ability to increase the agricultural production applying an optimized amount of resources thanks to the versatility in the management of nutrition using precision irrigation systems.

Innovative digital tools are combined to gather information on resource consumption and evaluate environmental-water-soil-plant indicators from the holding with the aim of making sustainable decisions about irrigation and fertigation variables. These works are carried out on different production farms thanks to the collaboration with the Communities of Irrigators of the Campo de Cartagena, Totana and Pliego, from Región de Murcia; Pulpí and Trasvase del Negratín, from Andalucía; Acequia Real de Júcar, from Comunidad Valenciana; and Vicario Reservoir and CUAS Mancha Occidental II, from Castilla La Mancha.
