Our client is an international investor who owns a pepper plantation in Kampot, Cambodia. Spanning 30 hectares, this plantation stands out for cultivating high-quality pepper, globally recognized with the Kampot Pepper Designation of Origin.
The client’s goal was to implement a comprehensive irrigation, nutrition, and filtration solution that met the high-quality standards of the product and enabled exports to Asian, European, and North American markets.
The main challenge was to address the different nutritional needs of the various crops on the plantation, primarily black pepper but also banana cultivation (in an intercropping system) with limited fertilization time.
Additionally, labor was required, but the existing workforce in the area had little qualification and no prior experience in the sector, adding complexity to the project.
To tackle this challenge, the decision was made to implement the AZUD QGROW BS technology, a fertilizer injection system that allows intuitive and simple dosing of multiple fertilizers simultaneously.
This solution proved ideal for the available workforce on the plantation with its low qualification.
