The Sustainable Development Goals of the UN’s 2030 Agenda (SDGs) aim to improve the nutrition of the world’s population by consolidating levels of food security through sustainable intensive agriculture.
To achieve this, it is essential to guarantee the availability and management of water in irrigated agriculture, the main user worldwide.
In this project, AZUD promotes the use of reclaimed water through new irrigation systems, as an alternative and complementary water supply in the face of water scarcity in regions where natural resources are limited, contributing to sustainable management in agriculture.
The OXIDAGUA project is part of the DESAFÍOS call for proposals and has the financial support of the Instituto de Fomento de la Región de Murcia and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
