LaserWay Launch<\/h2>\n<p>Last January, the kickoff meeting for the European Laserway project took place in Elgoibar (Guip\u00fazcoa), with all participating partners in attendance.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15777 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/azud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/laserway1.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"1386\" height=\"811\" srcset=\"https:\/\/azud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/laserway1.webp 1386w, https:\/\/azud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/laserway1-300x176.webp 300w, https:\/\/azud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/laserway1-1024x599.webp 1024w, https:\/\/azud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/laserway1-768x449.webp 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1386px) 100vw, 1386px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Recent events such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine have increased global uncertainty, leading many European companies to rethink their global supply chains and production methods. Given the possibility of potential and unpredictable new disruptions, it is crucial for European industry to achieve a high degree of flexibility and adaptability that will enable it to respond quickly to sudden changes, whenever they occur.<\/p>\n<p>Through the development of innovative and sustainable ultra-high-speed laser processes\u2014such as laser cutting, laser micro-perforation, and laser material deposition (EHLA)\u2014the LaserWay project will revolutionize the manufacturing industry. These innovations will make it possible to replace obsolete, inefficient, inflexible, and environmentally harmful conventional methods by implementing highly flexible production lines based on high-speed laser technology.<br \/>\n<H2>2. Objectives<\/H2><br \/>\nWith a focus on increasing productivity and efficiency, the project aims to provide a more sustainable alternative that significantly reduces CO2 emissions and, ultimately, paves the way for a cleaner, greener future for everyone. To achieve this, LaserWay will double the productivity of the laser process while simultaneously delivering highly precise photon distribution at the right place and the right time.<\/p>\n<p>The project\u2019s success will provide a competitive advantage for industries such as water treatment, automotive, and aerospace by reducing processing times, optimizing material use, and improving the quality of the final product. The advances achieved through the LaserWay project will drive innovation in high-speed laser processing, consolidating Europe\u2019s position as a world leader in advanced manufacturing technologies.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Project Details<\/h2>\n<p>The project \u201cSustainable and Flexible Manufacturing Using Extreme High-Speed Laser Processes,\u201d <strong>LaserWay<\/strong>, with <strong>Grant No.: 101138739<\/strong>, is funded under the Horizon Europe Framework Program. HORIZON-CL4-2023-TWIN-TRANSITION-01.<\/p>\n<p>The LaserWay project will run from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The total budget for LaserWay is \u20ac5,392,275.72.<\/p>\n<p>LaserWay is coordinated by IDEKO and brings together an international consortium of 16 partners:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IDEKO S.
