In Chile, Coca-Cola Andina conducts its business in accordance with strict standards of <strong>quality, food safety, and sustainability<\/strong>, with a strong commitment to <strong>responsible water management<\/strong>, a key resource for its production process.<\/p>\n<p>This approach leads the company to seek technological solutions that ensure the <strong>water self-sufficiency<\/strong>, operational efficiency, and a reduction in the environmental impact of its industrial plants.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong>: Chile<\/p>\n","el_reto_imagen":"https:\/\/azud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Caso-de-exito_Cola-Cola-Andina-4.webp","compania_texto_copy":"<p>The industrial plant had <strong>own well water<\/strong> for beverage production, but it had <strong>very high concentrations of arsenic<\/strong>, which prevented its use in accordance with the standards required for food use.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, the company was forced to resort to <strong>municipal water supply<\/strong>, generating:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A <strong>high operating costs<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>social impact<\/strong> in the surrounding area,<\/li>\n<li>And less autonomy in water resource management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The challenge was to <strong>restore the use of well water<\/strong>, ensuring water quality for production and minimizing the environmental impact of the process.<\/p>\n","la_solucion_imagen":"https:\/\/azud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Coca-cola-andina_Filtracion.webp","la_solucion_texto":"<p>After a <strong>comprehensive study<\/strong> by the technical team at AZUD and validation through a <strong>pilot plant<\/strong>, a system was designed and implemented <strong>containerized solution<\/strong> specifically designed for arsenic removal.<\/p>\n<p>The final solution provided by AZUD consists of <strong>five containers<\/strong>, incorporating a treatment regimen based on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/azud.com\/en\/products-filtration\/jsf\/jet-engine:productos\/meta\/sectores!is_custom_checkbox:Industrial;etiqueta-producto!compare-regexp:equipos-de-filtrado-autolimpiantes-de-discos\/\"><strong>Disc Filtration<\/strong><\/a> to protect subsequent stages,<\/li>\n<li><strong>Coagulation and Ultrafiltration<\/strong>, designed to effectively concentrate and remove arsenic from water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>system rejection<\/strong>, approximately one <strong>3% of the treated flow rate<\/strong>, leads to a system of <strong>decantation<\/strong>, where the arsenic precipitates completely.
