Sustainability is part of our corporate values. That is why we aspire to be leaders in creating new solutions for sustainable development. But also in continue to improve our internal processes so that they become increasingly responsible and ethical and have a positive impact on the environment and society.

We manufacture responsibly, caring for the environment and developing technology for a more sustainable planet.
At AZUD, we work to ensure the sustainable use of water, our most valuable resource. As specialists in solutions for efficient water management, we develop technologies that help our customers save water, energy, and reduce emissions. Our commitment to the environment is reflected in both our products and our processes: we are dedicated to water efficiency, the circular economy, renewable energy, and the responsible use of resources.

Our environmental commitment is based on four main pillars:

Responsible Manufacturing

  • Continuous improvement to reduce emissions and waste.
  • Optimizing the use of materials, energy, and water.
  • Controls audited through our certified Environmental Management System (ISO 14001)

Environmentally Friendly Technology

  • High-precision irrigation solutions.
  • Reuse of process water.
  • Watershed Protection.
  • Energy and resource savings when using our products.

Renewable Energy

  • Official record of the Carbon Footprint at MITERD.
  • Emissions testing by AENOR (Scopes 1 and 2)
  • 2021–2025 Emissions Reduction Plan.
  • More than 1,000,000 kWh of solar power generated in 2024, preventing the emission of +250 tCO₂e.

Circular Economy

  • Plan ““Zero Plastic Waste” under the OCS initiative.
  • Project with ERDE for the technical recycling of our used agricultural irrigation tapes.
  • Use of Recycled Pallets (79% of the total in 2024 = 217 metric tons (recycled wood)
  • 2024 Energy Audit integrated into SICMA-SST.

  • Certification ISO 45001 in Occupational Safety and Health
  • Collective Bargaining Agreements for 2024–2027.
  • Occupational safety protocols and heart-safe spaces.
  • Ergonomic assessments and health surveillance.
  • Heart-Safe Area since 2019

Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

  • Implementation of ISecond Equality Plan.
  • Application of the LGTBI Plan, in accordance with Law 4/2023.
  • Specific actions related to accessibility, diversity, and social inclusion.

  • Active participation in job forums: UPCT, UMU, SEF, and the Alcantarilla City Council.

Ethics and transparency guide all our decisions. We have a robust Code of Ethics, an active Ethics Hotline, and a Criminal Compliance System currently under development. We continuously evaluate and improve our management practices to ensure responsible governance, aligned with the highest standards of quality, integrity, and regulatory compliance.
