The Pacific Airport Group (GAP) It is one of Mexico’s leading airport operators, responsible for managing and operating strategic airport infrastructure under strict criteria of safety, operational continuity, and environmental compliance.
Tijuana International Airport handles significant volumes of water associated with its operations and services, which is driving the implementation of solutions that enable a efficient water resource management, in line with the group’s sustainability goals and current environmental regulations.

GAP Tijuana was facing a critical situation related to the quality of the treated water from its Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), which did not comply with the limits established by the NOM 001 SEMARNAT 2021 for download. This condition posed a risk both environmental and regulatory, in addition to a potential operational impact on critical infrastructure.
Given this situation, the challenge was to implement a reliable solution in a short amount of time that would allow:
To meet these requirements, a water reuse plant was installed AZUD WATERTECH RW DUOX24, designed as a solution compact, efficient, and adaptable to the actual conditions of the project.
The solution was developed in two stages. In the first phase, a technical and economic proposal was defined and preliminary plans were drawn up. Subsequently, after evaluating the actual water quality from the wastewater treatment plant, the system design was optimized by adjusting the treatment configuration to match actual operating conditions.
As part of this optimization, we were able to eliminate the need for pumping in the power supply system, simplifying plant operations and reducing the system’s energy consumption.

The plant’s implementation AZUD WATERTECH RW DUOX24 enabled Tijuana Airport to:
