The client is a cooperative located in the Agadir region that was founded in the early 1980s by farmers and specializes in packaging and export of citrus fruits in several European countries.
The cooperative currently manages more than 3,000 ha of land planted with various citrus varieties: NADORCOTT, CLEMENTINE, MAROC LATE, WASHINGTON SANGUINE, and others.
The cooperative’s packaging plant has a capacity of about 40 metric tons per hour and employs 350 people.

The client’s goal is control production costs:
On the one hand, the current situation is marked by an exponential rise in prices—whether for energy, Fertilizers, or labor—and, on the other hand, global competition among all farmers.
And the key to this control is having an efficient and precise irrigation system to prevent losses due to equipment failure.
In this regard, the cooperative is always seeking to optimize and upgrade its facilities and to find the most efficient equipment best suited to this challenge.
One of the major problems facing this cooperative is that it has many farms with old drippers that do not regulate and distribute irrigation evenly, which can sometimes lead to enormous cost overruns.
We began with a consultation phase during which we listened to this cooperative’s concerns and challenges, and the proposed solution was to use AZUD PREMIER, such as a robust, reliable Dripline system equipped with advanced technology to meet the challenges faced by this cooperative.
The solution is rounded out by a filtration system HELIX AUTOMATIC WEIR to protect the irrigation system, since the previous one was very outdated.
