Montazah Gardens, in Alexandria, is an iconic historic site that combines Egypt’s royal heritage with a unique natural setting along the Mediterranean.
Covering an area of more than 150,000 m², these gardens represent an important part of our landscape and cultural heritage, and their preservation requires efficient and sustainable management of water resources.

The water system had difficulty maintaining adequate water quality under conditions of high demand:
In addition, the project presented specific challenges:
The challenge was to design a robust, automated, and easy-to-manage solution capable of operating reliably on a large scale.
AZUD implemented a comprehensive filtration solution based on 30 automatic disc filters (130 microns), configured in a modular system.
The project’s development included:
This solution enables efficient filtration of fine particles and continuous operation with minimal manual intervention.

The implementation of the system has led to significant improvements in water efficiency and management in the gardens:
Overall, the solution ensures efficient and sustainable water management, which is key to the preservation of this historic site.
