The main challenge facing agriculture is to continue to produce quality fruit and vegetables safely and securely in the face of reduced water availability in terms of both quantity and quality.
In response to this important challenge, the PreciRiego project has arisen. With it, AZUD aims to develop an expert system capable of designing and controlling a pressurised, personalised, precision irrigation system.
It is a comprehensive solution that, by combining the most advanced information and communication technologies with new advanced irrigation devices, makes it possible to quantify and adapt to the existing variability in the plots, precisely applying the amount of water demanded by the crop according to its water needs, the availability of resources, the required production and the quality of the final product.
