Digitization to optimize the efficient management of Fertigation for sustainable agriculture.
LIFE TRIPLET aims to increase the sustainability and competitiveness of a new model of irrigated agriculture by digitizing crop monitoring, integrating water and nutrient application with crop protection management.
Its added value lies in its ability to increase agricultural production by optimizing resource allocation through versatile nutrition management via precision Irrigation.
By combining innovative digital tools, it collects information on resource consumption, evaluating environmental, water, soil, and plant indicators at the plot level with the goal of making sustainable decisions regarding Irrigation and Fertigation variables. This work is being carried out on various production plots thanks to collaboration with the irrigation districts of Campo de Cartagena, Totana, and Pliego in the Region of Murcia; Pulpí and Trasvase del Negratín in Andalusia; Acequia Real de Júcar, in the Valencian Community; and Embalse de Vicario and CUAS Mancha Occidental II, in Castile-La Mancha.
