Agricrafters is a production company specializing in the cultivation of blueberry, which has opted for a system of potted plant for the development of his agricultural project in the northern Romania, in the area bordering Hungary.
The project, with a total area of 64 hectares, focuses on the cultivation of Sekoya blueberry variety, a crop that requires a high level of technological sophistication in irrigation and nutrition to ensure uniformity, productivity, and crop management.
The irrigation system was installed by Drop Factory Doo, the installation company responsible for the technical implementation of the project.

The main challenge of the project was twofold. On the one hand, the lack of highly technologically advanced local companies in the region, with the capability to design and implement hydroponic irrigation systems in pots with the level of precision required by a large-scale blueberry plantation.
On the other hand, Agricrafters needed a comprehensive solution, which would include the design, supply, installation, and supervision of the irrigation system, as well as financing options that would ensure the project’s financial viability in its initial phase.
AZUD launched a international collaboration, supporting Drop Factory Doo in the development of a turnkey solution for the hydroponic irrigation system in pots.
The solution included the complete design of the system and the mobilization of specialized technical resources to ensure proper and consistent implementation across the entire project area.
The financing for producers It was a key factor in winning the contract and carrying out the project. Financing for the materials and part of the installation costs was structured using the formula of Supplier Credit, with a deadline of 24 months, backed by a bank guarantee thanks to the parent company’s financial strength SMARTWARE.
The installed irrigation system consists of NAVIA ND online drippers (4 L/h), configured with multi-port sets of four Microtubes and picks, and white dripline, particularly suitable for hydroponic systems in pots and blueberry cultivation.
