The company is a olive grower, located in La Rioja, which produces its own olive oil.
This project is being carried out in collaboration with an installation company based in this region of Spain that is known for its expertise in the installation of SUB-SURFACE DRIP IRRIGATION in vineyards, walnut orchards, olive groves, and others.
Location: La Rioja
Farming: Olive Grove

This is a property measuring 7 hectares of olive groves, where they’re working on organic farming and we’re facing a twofold challenge:
1. Find a savings on chemical use, aiming to apply exactly what the olive tree needs directly to the roots and avoid wasting any product.
2. Remove obstacles of the dripline when cutting it in the field.
Given the client’s problem and challenge, the solution seemed very clear: to carry out a SUB-SURFACE DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEM.
The conditions were ideal. First of all, the soil texture is ideal for this type of installation.
Second, both the agricultural technician and the installation company have experience with this system and perform a proper maintenance during installation, which is key to ensuring proper operation of the system.
This installation was carried out in two stages; the first stage involved AZUD PREMIER PC AS 16/1.6L-1.1mm 1.00m.
And we’ve carried out this second phase with AZUD GENIUN PC ASP HD 16/1.6L-1.00mm 1.00m Weir.

One of the main advantages is the reduction in maintenance costs. The property needed to be mowed frequently, so having the dripline above ground prevents damage caused by breakage of this one.
In addition, the water conservation, even though it’s an area where water is inexpensive and they get as much as they need, and the savings on fertilizers, as the farm is certified organic.
